The Battle of Prestonpans Jacobite Museum is now open 11am-4pm every Saturday and Sunday!

The museum, based in Prestonpans Town Hall, consists of two galleries: the Main Hall and the Jubilee Room. The former house our main exhibition, which tells the story of the Battle of Prestonpans in 1745 and displays ten meters of the Prestonpans Tapestry (on a rolling schedule). The Jubilee Room is for supporting exhibitions, changing roughly every 3-4 months, exploring a wide range of themes relating to our collections, our tapestries, or local heritage.

We also have a children’s camp and craft area, toilet facilities, and a small book and souvenir shop.

The museum is free to visit, although we ask all visitors to donate if they can to help support its operation.
