We were delighted to welcome Helion & Co Publishing to Prestonpans on 23 October, to host a special conference connected to their “From Reason to Revolution” series of publications.
The fascinating papers presented covered a range of themes relating to The ’45, from the medical to the naval, from personal profiles to demographic breakdowns. With over 50 people in attendance, the conference was also the first chance for visitors to enjoy the newly renovated main hall. A test of the hall’s new internet connection came in the shape of a speaker presenting live from the USA!
For those who missed the presentations, there’s no cause for dismay! The papers will be written up and published as an edited volume available next year. We hope to launch the book back here in Prestonpans, so watch this space for news of that event.
