Description

Hand-made by one of our own volunteers, this notebook is beautifully made using a traditional Japanese binding technique.

Measuring 22cm x 15cm approx, the hard covers are made from tartan wool in the Prestoungrange tartan, backed on the inside with reproduction historical maps of the Prestonpans area. With red ribbon closures, brass corners, and 40 blank pages, this special notebook makes an elegant and unique addition to our special range of hand-made souvenirs of the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry.

The official Prestoungrange tartan features elements of the Kerr, Morrison and Grant tartans – all families which have held the historic barony of Prestongrange over the centuries. It was created for Gordon Prestoungrange, who founded the Prestoungrange Arts Festival charity which coordinated the creation of the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry.
