THE RIGGONHEAD MARCH (illustrated talk)
7.30pm, Battle of Prestonpans Museum, High Street, EH32 9AY
As part of our Beyond the Battle project, this talk by curator Dr Arran Johnston investigates the Jacobite army’s flanking march through what is now Blindwells, which did so much to secure their victory at the Battle of Prestonpans. From tracing the route to the testimony of those who experienced it, the talk will take us to the heart of this crucial – and risky – tactical decision.
