JACOBITES VICTORIOUS AGAIN IN PRESTONPANS
The fifth annual re-enactments of the Battle of Prestonpans at Cuthill Park at the week-end were a huge success and blessed with wonderful weather.

Over 1000 people attended over the two days of commemorations at the park. They visited the living history encampment and enjoyed the full programme of demonstrations and skirmishes. The main re-enactments were as dramatic and action-packed as ever ? with three cannons and volleys of musket fire.

TAKING UP ARMS FOR THE BATTLE OF PRESTONPANS
This weekend's Battle of Prestonpans anniversary event is now the biggest Jacobite battle re-enactment in Scotland.

It will attract re-enactors from all over the UK, ready to take part in the packed programme of displays at Cuthill Park in Prestonpans.

BATTLE ART EXHIBITION KICKS OFF ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

BATTLE TAPESTRY RETURNS TO EAST LOTHIAN AFTER EDINBURGH TRIUMPH
The Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry makes a return visit to East Lothian this weekend after a three-month exhibition in Edinburgh where it was seen by over 20,000 visitors.

It will be on display at St Mary?s Parish Church, Sidegate, Haddington between 10 ? 15 September. Entry is free, and doors are open 11am ? 4pm (1.30pm ? 4pm Sunday).

Edinburgh will be invaded by Jacobites as well as tourist this weekend as Bonnie Prince Charlie's forces take on the Red Coats at St Mary?s Cathedral to once more occupy the city.

BATTLE OF PRESTONPANS TAKES ON THE BATTLE OF HASTINGS AT ST MARY'S CATHEDRAL
The Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry, which at 104 metres is the longest in the world, is set to form an alliance with the world-famous French Bayeux Tapestry.

As it went on display today at St Mary's Cathedral, Palmerston Place in Edinburgh, the Prestonpans Tapestry received the backing of the Mayor of Bayeux, M Patrick Gomont, who has written to the Lord Provost of Edinburgh
